Blue Eyed Girl

Photography by Joelle Rosen

East coast to west, style is style and California boutique named Blue Eyed Girl knows good style! They carry only the best selection of brands and have such a beautiful aesthetic. Check them out! I had the most amazing experience working with them on this collaboration. When planning the looks, I had a vision in my mind of what I wanted to do with the looks and it came to life, here. You can shop each look below so take a look and enjoy!

The first look for Blue Eyed Girl is all about the good vibes mon'! "Jamaican me high" on life, that's for sure. There's nothing better than a good pair of white denim to round out the summer nicely and these 'McGuire' denim are the BEST JEANS EVER! I chose to pair those AMAZING jeans with a fun 'Mate The Label' tank that makes you feel as if you're in Jamaica, when you're really not. I like to keep a sweater handy for those cool nights that are hard to come by summers in Atlanta but 'Show Me Your Mumu' has got me covered wit the cutest striped sweater. Add a pair of pom earrings and cute sunnies and you're good to go!

For this look, I chose to wear this 'WILDFOX' sweater because let's be real, I'm a mama to a little boy...and mamas are ALWAYS TIRED! YAWN. I paired the rad sweater with some amazing cropped pants by 'Vince' and some pretty amazing 'Quay' shades! Wear it with boots or sneakers, you'll look too cool for school.

Ugh, this next look is such a dreamy look! This 'Misa' dress is flirty, with a great seventies style silhouette.  I paired it with a wide brim 'Brixton' hat with a beautifully dainty 'Vanessa Mooney' pom pom earring. This would be a great look to wear to an outdoor summer event, don't ya think?!

Last but certainly not least, I wore the swimsuit of your dreams! 'Flynn Skye' and 'Amuse Society' came together and created magic with this one! I love a good kimono over my swimsuits, especially when you're socializing or running around chasing a little guy. This 'Mate The Label' kimono is so dreamy, pun intended because DUH, it's clouds! The fabric is heavenly as well! I paired these beauties with this amazing 'Cleobella' bag, a hat and the perfect white sunnies! Summer time vibes, in full effect!

My Sleeping Gypsy

Blogger, Motherhood, CollaborationOlivia NicoleComment

Feeling the sea breeze in none other than my beautiful Sleeping Gypsy mini! I seriously can't get enough of this beauty! The lovely linen garment was made partly by hand, taking several days to complete the embroidery with traditional craftsmanship techniques. The Sleeping Gypsy collections are inspired by Ukrainian national clothes called "Vyshyvanka", made with bright colors and patterns for the bohemian woman!

I chose to put "The Metal Romantic" spin on the styling of the traditional dress by throwing on a pair of T.U.K Footwear Baby Blue Creepers and Tuleste for Ban.do Pom Pom Earrings, to "punk it up" a bit. Since my personal aesthetic is an equal marriage of bohemian styles mixed with punk accents, I felt this was the best representation of ME and MY style for spring!

There's nothing quite like owning a garment with an incredible story to tell! This beautiful dress speaks for itself, with an inspiring underlying history behind each and every thread! The incredible hard work that is goes into making each and every Sleeping Gypsy garment is an inspiration in itself! I'm personally looking forward to cherishing this beauty for years to come!

SIN CITY

Blogger, Style, PhotographyOlivia NicoleComment

Last month, I spent some time in Las Vegas as a style ambassador for PROJECT at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. All in all, it was a very successful trade show, allowing me to have the opportunity to meet and greet with brands and my fellow bloggers in the industry. Talk about being inspired!! Being around so many wonderfully talented individuals was mega inspiring and oh so good for my soul. Being away from my little dude (son Axel) for the first time was far from easy, but mama needed to recharge the creative juices. That is indeed what I did! Now I'm back home with my family and ready to work, all with my babe in tote! Watch out! Mama on the move!

Vegas is known as 'Sin City' because it is the home of various vices, legal and illegal. For some people, you come to vegas to booze and (most likely) lose your moolah. For me, I like to keep my money right where I can see it, on my baby, in my wallet, or hanging in my closet. Allowing myself a portion of my money to gamble during this trip, I hit the slots first chance I could, where I lost it all and gained it all back within about half an hour. That's the extent of my gambling "vice" during my trip to Vegas. That's enough sinning for this mama, with the exception of my biggest sin of all - sleeping through the night for the first time in almost 8 months! A well rested mama is rare, that's for sure. Long hours and late parties are not the usual 9pm bedtime that I've come accustom to, but oh so worth it!

Thank you to everyone who was involved with the #BloggerPROJECT this year! I hope to see you all again in August!

Ready. Set. GO!

Blogger, Family, Motherhood, Photography, Maternity, StyleOlivia NicoleComment

Ready. Set. GO! I'm just a mama on the go, getting everything ready for the upcoming arrival of my baby boy. It's down to the wire and he'll be making his debut any week now. What a wild thought that is! Time truly flies when you're carrying around your little blessing!

Nursery set-up, check! Prepared essentials, check! Packed hospital bags, check! Installed car seat, check! My to-do list is dwindling down to the last few items and as excited as I am to meet my little guy, I'm also a little nervous for the labor itself, if I'm being totally honest. No one can fully prepare, but one can try.

The best thing that makes me feel ultra prepared, is this perfect diaper bag from Fawn Design, that holds all of the things that I could possibly need, even before I'll need them! Right now, it's being used as my hospital/delivery bag, but soon enough and it will serve its purpose as an actual diaper bag! Not only is it super chic and modern, but it's oh so functional as well.

With four exterior pockets and five interior pockets, there is multiple slots, appropriate for all of those on-the-go diaper changes and mid-day feedings. No mama wants an extra large diaper bag to lug around all day, when they already have a car seat on one arm or a baby on their hip. But then again, no mama wants a teeny tiny bag that barely holds their essentials to get them through the day, well prepared. The Fawn Deisgn bag is the perfect size, and did I mention that it has two carrying styles?! Wear it as a backpack to keep your hands free for the other important mama tasks, or wear it on or across your shoulder, with the easy ability to clip onto your stroller (with the Think King Mighty Buggy Hooks accessory). Want a different color, other than black? Don't worry, there are multiple colors to choose from (blush, brown, navy, gray) as well.

Mama or not, this bag is perfect for anyone who appreciates quality, functionality and design. If you're anything like me, who carries around pretty much everything in your life, wherever you go, this bag is for you!  You'll have all of the room for everything you definitely need, those items that you may possibly need, and also those items that you most likely won't need but want to have, just in case!
