Now this is my kind of "little black dress" that's for sure. I love a good LBD, but this one takes my love over the top! Never in my life have I ever worn a dress that fits my style more than this little number. Black is MY color, but I love a good bold colorful statement to complete the look! This Sleeping Gypsy dress gives that to me all in one beautifully crafted dress! I could wear it every day, if you'd let me! Get your very own by shopping the link below. You know you want to.

My Sleeping Gypsy

Feeling the sea breeze in none other than my beautiful Sleeping Gypsy mini! I seriously can't get enough of this beauty! The lovely linen garment was made partly by hand, taking several days to complete the embroidery with traditional craftsmanship techniques. The Sleeping Gypsy collections are inspired by Ukrainian national clothes called "Vyshyvanka", made with bright colors and patterns for the bohemian woman!

I chose to put "The Metal Romantic" spin on the styling of the traditional dress by throwing on a pair of T.U.K Footwear Baby Blue Creepers and Tuleste for Ban.do Pom Pom Earrings, to "punk it up" a bit. Since my personal aesthetic is an equal marriage of bohemian styles mixed with punk accents, I felt this was the best representation of ME and MY style for spring!

There's nothing quite like owning a garment with an incredible story to tell! This beautiful dress speaks for itself, with an inspiring underlying history behind each and every thread! The incredible hard work that is goes into making each and every Sleeping Gypsy garment is an inspiration in itself! I'm personally looking forward to cherishing this beauty for years to come!

Sweet November

Blogger, Family, StyleOlivia NicoleComment

November has been sweet. Being able to do what I love with the love and support of my family, there's nothing quite like the feeling. Not a day goes by where I don't think of how blessed I am to live the life that I live. To have an amazing man, who fully loves me for me. To have a wonderful baby boy, who looks at me every day with eyes of absolute love, admiration and trust. There's times when I wonder if I'm dreaming, or is this really my life? Each and every day, I look at those around me and realize that it is not a dream, but a dream come true.

Becoming a mother has caused for me to grow so much as a woman. It has given me the patience that I need in all aspects of life, and an indescribable amount of drive to continue to follow my dreams. My goal as a mother, is to raise my son with that kind of mindset. I want to always encourage him to follow his dreams, to find out what he loves and to encourage him to give it his all, no matter what. Whatever he chooses to be in life, we will be there to support him. If he comes to us one day and says "mom, dad, I want to move to New York City, we will pack up and move there as a family, all for him to be able to follow his dreams. I want to teach him that sometimes, when following a dream, there will be highs and lows, struggles and satisfactions, but all in all, if you're doing what you love, that's all that matters. That's a lesson that I still have trouble with from time to time. As a blogger, I find myself wrapped up in the things that don't matter, at times. Whether it be the amount of likes that I received on a photo, if someone "followed" or "unfollowed" me, or if there is a slow pace of improvement on followers gained on Instagram. These things don't matter, but I find myself over-analyzing these things from time to time and that's something that I'm working on for myself. What matters most of all is the love from my family. Putting my baby boy to sleep every night and waking up to those big blue eyes every morning, that's what matters. Being in the arms of the one I love, that's what matters. Knowing that my family is happy and healthy, that's what matters. Everything else doesn't even come close.

Until next time...

Labor of Love

Labor Day means that summer is coming to an end and fall is right around the corner. This means that the heat wave is ending and layering up soon begins. It means football, festivals, hammocks and family picnics galore!

What's a better way to spend this Labor Day than picnicking with my family? I can't think of anything better quite honestly. It sounds pretty darn perfect to me. This weekend, you could find us frolicking through the park and enjoying a delightful first picnic as a family of three. It's been a LABOR DAY OF LOVE!

Now lets talk about these radical hats that we are rocking! We had the recent pleasure of collaborating with STETSON (YES! #ItsAStetson) and how freaking cool is that?! It's been an absolute honor collaborating with the brand that created my obsession with hats. When you think of a Stetson, you think American classic! You think iconic! As they say, "Stetson, it's not just A hat, it's THE hat!"
