My Sleeping Gypsy

Blogger, Motherhood, CollaborationOlivia NicoleComment

Feeling the sea breeze in none other than my beautiful Sleeping Gypsy mini! I seriously can't get enough of this beauty! The lovely linen garment was made partly by hand, taking several days to complete the embroidery with traditional craftsmanship techniques. The Sleeping Gypsy collections are inspired by Ukrainian national clothes called "Vyshyvanka", made with bright colors and patterns for the bohemian woman!

I chose to put "The Metal Romantic" spin on the styling of the traditional dress by throwing on a pair of T.U.K Footwear Baby Blue Creepers and Tuleste for Ban.do Pom Pom Earrings, to "punk it up" a bit. Since my personal aesthetic is an equal marriage of bohemian styles mixed with punk accents, I felt this was the best representation of ME and MY style for spring!

There's nothing quite like owning a garment with an incredible story to tell! This beautiful dress speaks for itself, with an inspiring underlying history behind each and every thread! The incredible hard work that is goes into making each and every Sleeping Gypsy garment is an inspiration in itself! I'm personally looking forward to cherishing this beauty for years to come!

SIN CITY

Blogger, Style, PhotographyOlivia NicoleComment

Last month, I spent some time in Las Vegas as a style ambassador for PROJECT at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. All in all, it was a very successful trade show, allowing me to have the opportunity to meet and greet with brands and my fellow bloggers in the industry. Talk about being inspired!! Being around so many wonderfully talented individuals was mega inspiring and oh so good for my soul. Being away from my little dude (son Axel) for the first time was far from easy, but mama needed to recharge the creative juices. That is indeed what I did! Now I'm back home with my family and ready to work, all with my babe in tote! Watch out! Mama on the move!

Vegas is known as 'Sin City' because it is the home of various vices, legal and illegal. For some people, you come to vegas to booze and (most likely) lose your moolah. For me, I like to keep my money right where I can see it, on my baby, in my wallet, or hanging in my closet. Allowing myself a portion of my money to gamble during this trip, I hit the slots first chance I could, where I lost it all and gained it all back within about half an hour. That's the extent of my gambling "vice" during my trip to Vegas. That's enough sinning for this mama, with the exception of my biggest sin of all - sleeping through the night for the first time in almost 8 months! A well rested mama is rare, that's for sure. Long hours and late parties are not the usual 9pm bedtime that I've come accustom to, but oh so worth it!

Thank you to everyone who was involved with the #BloggerPROJECT this year! I hope to see you all again in August!

Versatile

Blogger, Photography, StyleOlivia NicoleComment

One top. Two ways.
In my most recent blog post titled "G R O W T H", this same top was worn, just another way. Funny enough, that way was backwards. For me, I love clothing that can be versatile. As a breastfeeding mama, I need to be able to cover up at times, and other times I need some easy access to the "TATAS". Hehe!
Since I am currently still breastfeeding, a brassiere is a must. You can always show a little "modesty" by rocking a bra under a low cut top such as this one.
This Bare Anthology top is perfect for whatever I need. Any occasion, I can dress it up or dress it down. It really doesn't get much better than that, right?
To create an urban vibe, which is what I'm all about, pair this killer top with a great pair of black and white striped trousers like these from ROMWE. Throw on some boots and a turban headband like this one from I'm With The Band, and you're good to go!

Bleeding Rock N' Roll

Blogger, StyleOlivia NicoleComment

Halloween is fast approaching so it's time for all of the ghouls, goblins, skeletons and vampires to come out to play! It's the perfect time to "funk" up your look a bit and become your alter ego. Whether you're just playing dress up, or expressing the true YOU, now is the time to add a little DANGER to your look. I mean, it is almost Halloween after all, right? So pull out all of the black from your closet and lurk around in the shadows casting spells or drinking blood (not really, please). The point is, have fun, get a little weird and sink your teeth into the season.
