Versatile

Blogger, Photography, StyleOlivia NicoleComment

One top. Two ways.
In my most recent blog post titled "G R O W T H", this same top was worn, just another way. Funny enough, that way was backwards. For me, I love clothing that can be versatile. As a breastfeeding mama, I need to be able to cover up at times, and other times I need some easy access to the "TATAS". Hehe!
Since I am currently still breastfeeding, a brassiere is a must. You can always show a little "modesty" by rocking a bra under a low cut top such as this one.
This Bare Anthology top is perfect for whatever I need. Any occasion, I can dress it up or dress it down. It really doesn't get much better than that, right?
To create an urban vibe, which is what I'm all about, pair this killer top with a great pair of black and white striped trousers like these from ROMWE. Throw on some boots and a turban headband like this one from I'm With The Band, and you're good to go!

Bleeding Rock N' Roll

Blogger, StyleOlivia NicoleComment

Halloween is fast approaching so it's time for all of the ghouls, goblins, skeletons and vampires to come out to play! It's the perfect time to "funk" up your look a bit and become your alter ego. Whether you're just playing dress up, or expressing the true YOU, now is the time to add a little DANGER to your look. I mean, it is almost Halloween after all, right? So pull out all of the black from your closet and lurk around in the shadows casting spells or drinking blood (not really, please). The point is, have fun, get a little weird and sink your teeth into the season.

Oh MAMA

Blogger, StyleOlivia NicoleComment

When you're a bloggin' mama, comfort is key when styling looks. With an infant in my arms the majority of the day, my footsies need a break, so sneakers are a must! Overalls are a perfect piece for all of you breastfeeding mamas out there. Can you say, EASY ACCESS? All you have to do is unsnap and feed, at any moments notice. With my little chubby buddy eating every 2 hours, being able to easily nurse is the most important aspect to my wardrobe choices these days.

Who says that mamas can't be mega stylish? That's the farthest thing from the truth. Getting up and getting yourself looking your best is a great way to make yourself feel your very best. Mothers have busy lives, that's for sure, with little to no down time. With that being said, no matter how busy life can get with little ones, always, ALWAYS take the time to make yourself look and feel the way you deserve. Happy mama = happy baby.

Whether you're a mama or not, these can complete your wardrobe and fill any void of an amazing pair of overalls. Snag these rad overalls by clicking the link below!

Wear Your Babe

Baby, Blogger, Family, MotherhoodOlivia NicoleComment

Have a colicky baby that seems to just want to eat all day every day, giving you little to no breaks? Hold them close with Beluga Baby to ease their gassy tummies and give them the feeling of being back in the cozy womb that they became so accustomed to for 40 weeks. Trust me, your baby is your best accessory, without a doubt, so wear him in style with a wrap that carries both fashion and function. The Beluga Baby wrap is made to hold your baby close to your heart, while also having your hands free to do all of your motherly deeds, work from home, or even just have the time to eat your breakfast in between his normal feedings. With colic, I have found that Axel likes to be close to me most of the days, and what better way to have him close than to be wrapped up right where he loves to be most of all (on my chest). Since wrapping him up, the colicky behavior is visibly much better, giving mama the appropriate breaks to provide him with a proper supply of milk to fill up his growing belly.

Make sure to grab one for you and your little babe by clicking the link below! Also before you wear your little babe, make sure you know how to safely wear him/her beforehand by watching the "HOW TO WRAP TUTORIAL" videos.

CHECKERED PAST

Blogger, Makeup, Model, Photo Shoot, Photography, Style, StylistOlivia NicoleComment

Styles change, but the past is never forgotten!

As far as fashion goes, trends come and go, but styles are always recycled from our past! Whether it be the revival of PUNK from the 80s and 90s or living and loving a bohemian lifestyle like in the 70s, we all see past trends returning time and time again, but always with a bit of a modern day twist.

My style has evolved so much over the years, and with age, came creativity and individuality. The older I get and the more experiences that I have had, has taught me to continue to push the envelope with my style and to not be afraid to take risks. I tend to do things a little more wacky than I did in let's say my teenage years and early twenties. I have always gained my style inspirations from the past, but have made sure to always make that style fit my personal aesthetic. Whether I play with bohemian styles or Americana styles, I always give that personal rock n' roll touch that has remained part of my "signature look"!

Lesson here, always be conscious of the history of fashion/style, while remembering to integrate your own personal touch with the styles from our past. Let's be real, we can all learn a little something from the past.
