This magical 1940s tiered bridal gown is a spectacular piece of art. There is some significant damage/flaws to the gown, mostly on the back of the bodice, where there is some tearing to the overlay of the bodice and what looks like a melt in two spots. There are 4 missing buttons on the row of the buttons nearest to the skirt(not very visible). There is also some stains on the back buttons and overall a very delicate nature to the fabric due to the 80+ years. The front of the garment is actually in good vintage condition and the structure is in tact. The buttons are all fully functioning in the back.
While this gown may need to be professionally cleaned/repaired/reworked, it’s also an incredibly stunning piece. I got an opinion from my mother in law (who is a master sewist) and she stated that since the structure is in tact, recovering the bodice would fully be an option.
If you decide to purchase, please be aware of these flaws and delicate and historical nature to the gown and understand that I do not accept returns.
